I Love Yarn!

Dear Friends,

I love yarn. In fact, I love it so much that I had a party at a yarn store called UNWIND.  They love yarn too.

There were yummy treats that looked like me and my orange ball of yarn.
I got to meet the nice lady that made them! She is a cake pop artist.

 I loved being surrounded by yarn . . .

 . . . and ribbons.

If you want to see more photos from the event, you can click here.
Thank you Alyson Beecher!

Love,

  1. Penguin! You should never put a plastic bag over your head!! Oh wait, that's not really you inside there - it's just a cake version of you! Phew.

I love yarn too but mostly for attaching to my stuffed animal friends so I can pull them around the house. And for making fake wigs.

Yesterday, I decided to write a story especially for you. Here it is:

One day there lived a little monster who was very clean and the little monster had her own mummy. And then she was very happy with her mummy. And everyday there would be lots of goo out for her to eat. And then she would eat happily. And then she would start helping her mummy. And then everyday her mummy would give her a lot and a lot and a lot and a lot and a lot of baths and she has snake baths with snakes in them! Then she would rub her teeth and then she would go to bed happily. The end.

I hope you like it! Love from Lili

  2. Dear Lili,

Thank you for your lovely bedtime story! I love stories about silly monsters because they do really silly things... like taking baths with snakes and eating goo! The monster is lucky to have such a good mummy to know exactly what she likes and needs.

And I'm so glad you love yarn, too! It's nice to have things in common with you.

    Love,
    Penguin

  3. Dear Penguin:

This week kindergartners will visit the library and will meet you and Pinecone. They will make a yarn scarf for a pinecone of their very own. I love how the words to your story teach us about friendship and I also love all the little stories going on in each illustration.
